After the devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye in February 2023, I’m reaching out to you through this project. I had to start over — to rebuild everything from nothing.
Hello, I’m Umut.
My family and I are still trying to recover from what we’ve been through.
The wounds of that night are still within us, but so is the will to rise again.
As a drummer and musician, “Rebuild of Rhythm and Life” was born from the rubble of that tragedy. I lost my home, but I didn’t lose life — or rhythm.
This project isn’t just about rebuilding walls — it’s about rebuilding life, sound, and hope through rhythm. Every beat I play is a reminder that even after silence, music can rise again.
Our building was severely damaged during the earthquake and had to be demolished. Since that day, we haven’t been able to re-establish our home, but we want to return to life — and rhythm. That’s why I need your support now.
🎯 Our goal is to raise $100,000 to rebuild our home and music studio — a space where rhythm and life can begin again.
No matter how small, every act of kindness helps me take another step — toward rebuilding our home, returning to music and my drums, and healing mentally and emotionally.
